The Tigers Make Us Proud
By Sandra Allen.
For those that are not aware, Comcast airs the Texas High School Football Game of the Week each Saturday at 6 p.m. on Channel 55. Tonight, what a great way to kick off the season by hosting the two best teams in Houston. Our own Katy Tigers vs. North Shore at Rhodes Stadium. Two great teams that fought to the bitter end. And yes folks, our Katy Tigers made us very proud last night with a 9-7 win over North Shore, ending North Shore’s record winning streak.
This was a game that truly lived up to all the hype and fan expectations. The two best teams in Houston. Standing room only. Lots of turnovers, lots of mistakes, and with the clock running out at 31 seconds, the Katy Tigers again made our great city proud. Read more

Dorm, ‘Re’ality & Me
Last year I surprised myself. I really envisioned I would be going nuts assisting my son with packing to go off to college. Quite the opposite – things had moved so easily, I was cautiously waiting for the ball to drop. Horror stories abound in regards to dorm room organization, and there are countless articles about the subject, so I was dreading the whole process. But I can assure you that it really wasn’t that bad.
Maybe it’s because I am a Professional Organizer and look at things from a different angle, or that I possess the gift of figuring it out. In either case, obviously I have time to sit and post this, so this year I have extra time on my hands to sit and relax. I didn’t move at break neck speed to get everything done last year. That is how I planned it. What is my secret? I had a plan. So, here are a few basics of what got me through: Read more
