The Seven Lakes High School PTSA is holding it’s regular garage sale on Saturday, October 16th from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.    If you’d like to participate, booth rental is $25 for one space, $50 for two spaces and get the third space for three.

All students in all four grade levels participate in this exciting event where students will come to CRHS before school starts to get copies of their course lists, get all of their textbooks, take yearbook pictures, try out their lockers, get parking permits (juniors and seniors), join clubs and organizations, clear any outstanding fines and fees, purchase spirit items, and much, much more.

NEWSWEEK recently released the 2010 list of America’s Best High Schools, representing only 6% of all American public high schools and Katy has made the list, not once but four times as among the top schools in the nation!

Of the top 1,622 schools Cinco Ranch High School  ranked # 478, Seven Lakes High School ranked #689, Taylor High School came in at #982,  and Katy High School at #1387.

Rankings are determined by a combination of the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Cambridge (AICE) tests given at the schools, compared to the number of graduating seniors.  To view the full list, please click here.

Shield Bearer Counseling Centers is offering a free 8 hour pre-marital seminar, were couples can learn the 8 fundamental truths for a lifelong love. Join the Fort Bend Master Gardeners sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension Service on Thursday, June 17, 2010 to hear Billy Cox, owner of Retreat Hills Winery in Navasota, TX. He will speak on the correct way to grow grapes and how to use them to make wine. Baseball Camp at Taylor High School will be held from June 14th through June 17th, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  This camp is an advanced skills camp for kids 8-14 (incoming freshmen). The camp will focus on drills to elevate fielding, hitting, and pitching skills. This camp will offer a great instructor to student ratio. Coach Bowyer and Coach Enders have 23 years experience coaching at the high school level between them and both have played baseball past high school, including Enders pitching in the Major Leagues for the Tampa Bay Rays. SLHS Sapphires Sizzlin’ Summer Dance Camp at Seven Lakes High School June 7th through Jun 9th from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.  (Registration begins at 7:30 am).   Students grades K-6.
