KVPAC’s Family Art Workshop: Swimmy
Family Arts Workshop at KVPAC are alot of fun for everyone. Families enjoy workshops TOGETHER! Each workshop is based on a featured book followed by an activity as noted. On February 19th from 5:oo pm to 7:oo pm is a dramatic reading based on the book by Leo Lionni followed by a very fishy art workshop! A parent must attend with their child. Nickel Day in Downtown Rosenberg
The Downtown Merchants of Rosenberg will host the second nickel day in downtown on February 13, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Several merchants will have items available for only a nickel. The Soda Fountain will have nickel cones. Both Downtown parks will have free crafts to make with your family like string art, valentines cards, cookie decorating and more.

Little Women the Musical at Fort Bend Theatre

Fifth Annual Girlfriend’s Giggle
Ladies, you won’t want to miss the Fifth Annual Girlfriend’s Giggle, a big girl’s pajama party that supports the Fort Bend County Women’s Center. Come with your best gal pals dressed in your favorite pjs and fuzzy slippers for an evening full of shopping, food, drinks, indulgences, raffle, silent auction, and much, much more! Cheer Clinic with Morton Ranch High School Cheerleaders
The Morton Ranch High School Cheerleaders will be having a CHEER CLINIC on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Morton Ranch High School Auxiliary Gym from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Boys and Girls ages 4 to 14 are welcome to participate.Registration begins at 8:30am. Show-offs for parents will begin at 12:30pm. Your child will learn several cheers and a dance!!Also, participants get to perform at a Morton Ranch High School Basketball Game on February 2. Registration is $20.00 until January 20. 2010 Children’s Art & Poetry Contest
Children ages 6 – 12 who live in Harris, Fort Bend or Montgomery County are eligible to participate in an annual art and poetry contest.
Deadline to submit work is March 31, 2010, but children will receive 5 points which will count toward their total score if they submit their work prior to March 15th.
Children are encouraged to submit their work as soon as possible as it will be posted on the web site (no names will be shown on the entries as independent judges will be judging the entries on their merit alone and will not be given the names of the children).
There are three categories – art (1st – 2nd grade), art (3rd – 5th grade) and poetry (3rd – 5th grade).
Gift certificates to Memorial City Mall will be awarded to the children with winning entries as follows:

2nd Place—$100
3rd Place—$75
