Animal Planet Expo at Cullen Park in Katy

The Discovery Channel’s Animal Planet Expo is coming to the Katy area Cullen Park on Saturday & Sunday Aug 9th and 10th, 2008. Animal Planet and partners have teamed up to bring a free, fun-filled family experience to Katy.  Get close to exotic animals, take fun pictures, go in the HD dome, and bring your leashed dogs (or cat) to the Purina park.  The event will feature over 25 activities and games…including the Planet Green experience, Safari Snaps, King Croc slide, and other fun and games.  It’s all free.

This is the kind of event where kids will have a good time and you get to save money.  Bring your backpack with snacks and lots of cool water.  The parking is free but the trick is to find a parking spot.  Your best bet is to  drop off an adult with the kiddies, park at Mayde Creek High School and walk/bike through the park to the event.  - Mompaca
