The Sounds of the Big Band Coming to Katy

What comes to mind when you hear the names Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Harry James, Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw and the like?  More than likely, those names instantly conjure up images of a bygone era, when the sounds of the big band ruled the dance floors and the radio stations across the country!

On August 13, 2009, you will have an opportunity to see and hear one of the most prominent big bands in our region when the USAF “Dimensions in Blue” jazz ensemble perform in a free concert at the Morton Ranch High School Performing Arts Center.  This event is sponsored by the Cinco Ranch Conservatory of Music (CRCM) and Katy ISD.  To obtain tickets, please visit:  CRCM, 20680 Westheimer Parkway #60, Katy, TX  77450 or the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Suite B206, Katy, TX  77494.
