Our KVPAC Interns experience the thrill of working in all areas of the theater and art:

Our Visual Arts Program includes clay, painting, drawing, and photography to name a few. Our Interns will be given the opportunity of assistant teaching with a professional artist. We also feature a gallery space for exhibitions every Friday, at the end of class.

Our Theatre Arts Program includes musical theater, set design, sound and light technology, acting, singing, dancing and more. Our Interns will work with a professional creative team (director, choreographer, musical director, and designers), to assist with the rehearsal and performance of a major musical theatre production, with full design and technical support.

Interns will help students experience a fun-filled day, coordinate clean-up in the classes, assist with daily duties of our curriculum and make life-long friends through our summer program.

AM Camp is 8:30am to 12:30pm
PM Camp is 12:30pm to 4:30pm

Internship program is strictly on a volunteer basis – no fees/salaries attached

The event will include 16 workshops on topics ranging from making your bedroom a sanctuary and dressing yourself skinny to the latest advances in breast health. The event will also include a session on healthy eating, entitled Swap This for That, which will teach you how to make better food choices to maintain a healthy weight and reduce your risk of cancer.

The Market Square will offer opportunities to explore and shop and to receive free health assessments and screenings. Our special guest speaker Marilu Henner will talk during our seated luncheon.

Last spring she again faced Congress to present healthy dietary guidelines for kids as part of the Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act of 2010. Marilu lectures frequently throughout the country as a keynote speaker and motivator for professional organizations, universities, government agencies, interest groups, and corporations on topics ranging from diet and fitness, memory, women’s health issues, cardiovascular disease, cancer survival, and child rearing; as well as lifestyle, entertainment, and business organization strategies..

The Aggie Moms will host this welcoming event for new A&M students in Katy at Holy Covenant Methodist Church, beginning with light snacks and beverages at 6:30 p.m. The formal program which begins at 7:00 p.m., welcomes new students and their families, honors graduating seniors, and recognizes scholarship recipients.

Howdy raffle tickets will be on sale at the event for $1. Door prizes and raffle baskets will be awarded throughout the program.

Special guest speakers from Texas A&M University will include John Claybrook, Student Body President , and representatives from the Corps of Cadets, including Marquis Alexander, Corps Commander, Ryan Minmier, Cavalry, and J. P. Barton, Band Commander. Aggie Yell Leaders will be on hand to conduct a modified Yell Practice at this event. This informative evening is a “must” for all newly admitted or transferring Aggies.

Theatre camp provides a safe and secure environment where students who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade engage in positive activities exploring theatre. Students are divided into classes based on age and grade level, andeach group works on a song and dance number for the play. Each student will also deliver at least two lines of dialogue, with older students playing larger roles. Students will create masks, hats, costumes, and make-up, and will
wear these for performance. The class culminates in a free performance, which parents, guardians and friends are invited to attend. There are no restrictions onthe use of cameras at our Theatre Camp performances.

Times and Dates:

Theatre Camp runs for two weeks,
Monday—Thursday.
Camp begins Monday, June 4th, and
ends Thursday, June 14th from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
On the 14th at 4 p.m. the students will
present their play to the public.
The play will last approximately 40
minutes.

TECH IT OUT Robotics is a high tech summer robotics camp offered in Katy where kids and teens learn to build, program and compete with robot of their own design in small teams. While having fun youth are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer programming, problem solving using math, robot engineering, design concepts, and critical thinking.
