Rylander Elementary Boy Scout Troup Ends Fun-Filled Summer

October 3, 2008 by Kim Montgomery

Katy Texas Boy Scouts RylanderCub Scout Pack 542 from Rylander Elementary has had a very busy summer! The scouts and their families went fishing at the Cinco Ranch Lake, had a super swimming party and pizza at the Cinco Ranch Waterpark, and had the thrill of their lives when they were invited to be a part of a private plane viewing and flying!

The boys also attended day camp where the theme was the Olympics. They earned several belt loops and braved the heat at the Farm and Ranch Club. To end their festive summer, the scouts and their parents sponsored a booth at La Centerra’s Scout Night, where kids from all over Katy could go check out the different packs and learn about what it means to be a scout.

As the scouts get back to their normal routine with school, they are excited to meet the new scouts and are already preparing for their fall campout at Huntsville State Park.
