Ooh La La Bakery: Best Dessert Boutique?

Just got word from Freckletown about the nomination of Katy’s own Ooh La La dessert bakery in the list for best Houston dessert place on CitySearch.com.  This dessert boutique specializes in homemade jumbo cupcakes (the signature dessert), cakes, cookies, pies, pastries and more created by pastry chef Vanessa Newbill. The bakery also offers many specialty drinks and coffee, including espresso, lattes, cocoa, tea and smoothies. They have an outdoor patio, free Wi-Fi, and a drive-through… Just in case you need a jumbo cup cake on the run (who doesn’t?).

I’m not a big dessert guy myself, but I would probably be tempted to pop in and try Ooh La La out if it grabs he top spot. To support the bakery and help it win, vote here. Citysearch reviewers are already raving:

I will find any reason, not that I need one, to buy CC from Ooh La La - dinner parties, son’s graduation party, showers, or just because it’s Friday and I am addicted to the Margaritaville CC. The “Monday” Turtle CC and “Wednesday” Drama Queen are just as wonderful. Their cakes are large and just as wonderful. They also make these cute little tarts in these cookie shells. This has to be the best cupcake place by FAR… Ive been on a cupcake hunt since ive decided i want a cupcake wedding cake… I need 700 cupcakes and cute at it. Her CC’s are moist, cute, trendy, flavorful, and reasonably price. Ive tried almost 8 differnet places around the houston area. And the only place that tops ohh lalal is the cookie jar and they are a little pricey. CRAVE in uptown “blah, dry, small, gross, and expensive” Tiara cakes.. okie.. sugarbabies.. yummy but ohh lala really makes you go OHH LALAL LALA! - liss337
