If you are looking for holiday entertainment to get you in the mood for the season, you won’t want to miss the performance of harp and voice at Christ Church PCA on December 4th. 

Susanna Campbell and Ashley Lyons, harpists, and Joanne Bonasso, soprano, will present familiar and timeless carols such as “Silent Night” and “What Child Is This” as well as introducing you to several beautiful lesser known carols.

This musical celebration will begin at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary at Christ Church PCA, 3025 Katy Gaston Road.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Pregnancy Help Center of West Houston, a ministry dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of anyone affected by an unplanned pregnancy.

An internationally known Christian music group, Jon Stemkoski’s Celebrant Singers, will appear in a free concert on August 2nd at 6:30 PM. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 5356 11th. Street  Katy, Texas.

Since 1977, the California-based Celebrant Singers have crisscrossed the globe with multiple troupes of 10 singers, live orchestra, lights and sound, presenting thousands of concerts featuring their signature close, energetic vocal harmonies in an eclectic blend of contemporary, liturgical, praise and worship and gospel music.

Each concert is seasoned with international testimonies and finished off with a time of personal prayer ministry.

The group is interdenominational, ecumenical and international. Group members are dedicated and talented young adults who represent many major Christian traditions and hail from all parts of the United States, Canada and many other countries. Sharing their faith and their lives with others is job one, eclipsing even their concerts.

Since their inception, Celebrant Singers have performed in more than 5,000 Catholic parishes in North America and thousands more overseas. They’ve enjoyed multiple private audiences with Pope John Paul II and provided music for the late Mother Teresa’s Nobel Peace Prize reception.
Stemkoski started the group with $150 in his pocket after receiving the inspiration in 1975 in Poland.

The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch will be hosting an array of entertaining, wholesome activities and events that are sure to keep your teenage boys and girls busy this summer. Ever since the weekend of September 12th, when hurricane Ike hit the Texas coast and relief operations began, we’ve wanted to do more. Sure, during the week KISD had no school we took students out to help clean up yards & homes, but the damage here was minimal in comparison to those in Galveston. I’d watch the devastation on the news and think, Lord, how can we do more? This weekend, Redeemer is getting that opportunity.

On Sunday, November 2nd, instead of regular worship services, Redeemer Community Church will be serving the Lord in Galveston. As our new pastor, Mitch Maher, began emphasizing the need to engage our community more, we began to pray and look for an opportunity to help our coastal neighbors. Redeemer will be working with Good News Galveston that morning helping set up Alamo Elementary School as a volunteer base station and helping repair homes & businesses in the community.
