Plans For New Industrial Business Parks Released
Plans for a new industrial office and manufacturing park in Katy were announced by Clay Development and Construction to members of the Katy Economic Development Council last Tuesday, August 12th. The Stonegate Business Park will offer distribution space from 17,500 sq. ft. to 148,000 sq. ft. on parcels from three to 25 acres and a total of 40 acres are available located east of Pederson Road between I-10 and US 90. New KBR Office Campus Coming to Katy
KBR (formerly Kellogg, Brown and Root) is a global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, petrochemicals, government services and civil infrastructure sectors. The company serves many markets, particularly gas monetization, having designed and constructed, alone or with joint venture partners, more than half of the world’s operating liquefied natural gas production capacity over the past 30 years. Now, after almost a year and a half of careful planning by the Katy Economic Development Counsel, KBR has announced it’s new massive campus facility off 1-10 and Grand Parkway in Katy. Read more
Wal-Mart, Taxes, BBQ and SUVs
Another Wal-Mart Supercenter has opened on the intersection of West Little York & Fry Road. This will be followed by yet another opening set to take place later this year near the intersection of Grand Parkway and the Westpark Tollway. Katy Construction Projects & Growth
There are quite a few new construction projects going on and many have just been completed. Here is a short list of recent noteworthy projects to watch.
Texas Children’s Hospital
A $220 million, 490,000 square foot medical complex broke ground recently near Barker Cypress and 1-10. The campus is set to open in 2010 and will be built in phases. The first phase will be a 190,00 square foot outpatient building, followed by a 280,000 square foot inpatient facility.
Pin Oak Village
