No Restrictions. After repeatedly texting Mackenzie Edwards (n e Standifer), Ryan Edwards was detained for violating a restraining order.
The 35-year-old Teen Mom star was informed that he was required to have no contact with his now-divorced wife on February 10, according to legal documents that were obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, March 2. But, nine days later he texted her to get in touch.
I don’t have to live without you, my God! Sorry! He sent a letter on February 19. For what it’s worth, I’m sorry and I do miss you, the former reality star wrote in a second message to Mackenzie on February 23.
According to a press release from the Hamilton County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department, Ryan was detained for the second time this year on March 1 and was charged with stalking and violating an order of protection.

Ryan was arrested on February 9 after Mackenzie claimed to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office that he had accused her of infidelity and shared intimate images of her on his Instagram profile. We already confirmed this.
Following the social media incident, the wedding planner requested an order of protection; however, Ryan is accused of violating the order after getting in touch with Mackenzie’s father, Bob Standifer.
Us reported that Mackenzie officially filed for divorce after six years of marriage two days prior to Ryan’s second arrest. Documents filed on February 27 show that she was also given a restraining order and interim custody of their two kids.
The couple, who got married in 2017, has a daughter named Stella and a son named Jagger, who they welcomed in 2018 and 2020, respectively. The 16 and Pregnant alum is also the father of ex-girlfriend Maci Bookout‘s kid Bentley, age 14. In 2010, Ryansplit with Bookout, 31, and then moved on to Taylor McKinney. Daughter Jayde, 7, and boy Maverick, 6, are the couple’s children.

Before they called it quits, Ryan and Mackenzie’s romance was chronicled on the MTV series for several years. The couple and their family were fired from Teen Mom OG in March 2021. When they were initially suspended from the program, Mackenzie implied that Bookout was to blame after McKinney quarreled with Ryan’s parents about his lack of interest in Bentley’s life.
