Pop eminence! Pink rose to stardom in the 2000s, and she became a musical superstar because of her edgy sound and rebellious attitude.

Alecia Moore, a singer with Try, began performing at nightclubs in Philadelphia when she was just 14 years old. She and her band, Choice, had signed their first record deal by the time she reached 16.

Pink, however, agreed to a solo contract with LaFace Records after the band disbanded in 1995. Five years later, she released her debut record, Can’t Take Me Home, to favorable reviews.

When Pink collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Lil Kim to perform Lady Marmalade for the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann‘s 2001 film Moulin Rouge, she developed as an artist even more. Each singer received a Grammy Award for their collaborative work on the song.

Pink and the singer of Genie in a Bottle developed a rivalry behind the scenes even though the group’s version of the song became iconic.

[Executive at a label] Ron Fair entered. He said, “What’s the high part?” without saying hello to any of us. What has the loudest singing? Eight years after the release of Lady Marmalade, Pink stated in her 2009VH1 Behind the Music special that Christina would be taking that role.

Pink continued to create several more albums and received numerous solo Grammy nominations despite her conflict with Aguilera. In 2004 with her song Trouble, which was up for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, she finally took home her very own Grammy.

The Just Like Fire musician not only found success in her work but also love in her personal life with professional racer Carey Hart. The two started dating after meeting at the Philadelphia X Games in 2001. They dated until a brief breakup in 2003. Two years later, the couple resumed their affair, and Pink proposed to her longtime partner in 2005. In Costa Rica in January 2006, they exchanged vows.

The Funhouse singer and California native divorced each other after nearly two years of marriage. Pink and Hart underwent counseling while they were divorcing, and they got back together in February 2010.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Willow, a year later. When Pink gave birth to baby Jameson in 2016, the Hart family grew again. Hart and the performer of True Love will commemorate their 15th wedding anniversary in January 2021.

15 years. She posted multiple photos of the pair throughout the years with “Proud of us, babe.” See, there are occasions when being obstinate pays off.
