Dave Navarro is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter from the United States who has released several albums. Although he is best known as a member of the rock band Jane’s Addiction, he has played an important role in numerous other bands as well. Dave Navarro Early Life
Navarro was born on the 7th of June in Santa Monica, California as David Michael Navarro. Navarro originally picked up a guitar at the age of seven, inspired by the music of Jimi Hendrix. Dave went to Sherman Oaks High School, where he was a member of the marching band with Stephen Perkins in his early years.
Navarro’s mother was murdered by an ex-boyfriend while he was a teenager. Dave’s parents were living apart at the time of the murder, and he was with his father at the time. Navarro later said that the death of his mother was a contributing factor in his descent into drug addiction and mental health concerns.

Dave Navarro Career
Navarro joined Jane’s Addiction in 1986 as their lead guitarist, and he has been with the band ever since. A longtime friend of Dave’s, drummer Stephen Perkins, had previously joined the group. After a few more years, Jane’s Addiction became one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world. Three of the band’s albums were produced by Dave while he was a member. The first was Jane’s Addiction’s self-titled live album, released in 1987. Critics hailed the album’s release as proof that the band had grown up.
The first major-label studio album “Nothing’s Shocking” was Navarro’s contribution. It was released by Warner Bros. Records and garnered favorable reviews from critics, but failing to crack the top 100 on the Billboard album list. The band’s internal conflicts began to grow at this moment.
Although Jane’s Addiction disbanded in 1990, they released a second studio album that year. This second studio album, titled “Ritual de lo habitual,” was a great commercial success. The album was quickly certified double platinum in the United States thanks to singles like “Been Caught Stealing” and “Stop.” “Ritual de lo habitual” sold 500,000 copies in its first month of release.

Unfortunately, “Jane’s Addiction” would break up in 1991 after releasing this album. When Guns N’ Roses and Butthole Surfers broke up, Navarro toured with them. Deconstruction was also formed during this time. He finally settled down with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1993. One Hot Minute” was the band’s 1995 album, and he performed live and contributed to it. After a heroin relapse, Navarro was sacked from the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1998.
