The ruler! Austin Butler made a statement by strolling the red carpet alone at the 2023 SAG Awards while dressed in a maroon three-piece suit.
On Sunday, February 26, the 31-year-old native of California posed for pictures at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles without his girlfriend Kaia Gerber.
Butler’s portrayal of the King of Rock and Roll in Baz Luhrmann’s film Elvis garnered him a SAG Award nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. The actor has been open about losing his voice while filming the biopic ever since the 2022 release of the film.
The Carrie Diaries star revealed to People on the red carpet before Sunday’s award gala that he lost his voice while performing Never Been to Spain and that he eventually recovered after taking a few days off from singing.

After winning the 2023 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his efforts in the musical drama, Butler made a solo appearance on the red carpet one month later with Gerber, 21. After the event, the couple was seen holding hands and sharing kisses and hugs at multiple Los Angeles parties.
According to images published by the Daily Mail later that month, the couple may be seen holding hands while attending Lisa Marie Presley’s memorial service at Graceland on January 22. (Butler, who grew close to the Presley family while filming Elvis, mentioned Lisa Marie in his speech at the Golden Globes two days before she passed away at the age of 54 from a cardiac arrest.)
When they were seen taking a yoga class together in December of 2021, the former Nickelodeon actress and Gerber were initially connected. A source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly at the time that they were secretly dating. It is still quite young.
The Switched at Birth alum and Gerber made their red-carpet couple debut at the 2022 Met Gala in New York City five months later, making their relationship official.
At the Gilded Age-themed dinner, Cindy Crawford‘s daughter shone in a glittering Alexander McQueen gown as she posed for pictures with her boyfriend. Butler, for his part, chose an Elvis-inspired all-black Prada suit. As the moment was being filmed by the cameras, the couple couldn’t take their eyes off one another.

Although the pair makes few joint public appearances, they are supportive of one another’s professional endeavors. In reality, the actress from Babylon demonstrated her love for her boyfriend by attending the Elvis premiere in May 2022 at the Cannes Film Festival.
Gerber and the Zoey 101 alum arrived separately, but they later reconnected on the carpet where they gave a scorching kiss to the on-site photographers.
In response to a query regarding his burgeoning romance with the Palisades actress, Butler avoided answering.
When questioned about Gerber in May 2022, the Shannara Chronicles alum said to GQ, “I don’t think there’s anything I want to disclose about it.” But I appreciate you giving me the room.

Prior to her romance with Butler, the American Horror Story alum was linked toPete Davidson and Jacob Elordi. For his part, the TheIntruders actor dated Vanessa Hudgens from 2011 to 2019. The 34-year-old High School Musical star moved on in 2021 with baseball player Cole Tucker. Earlier this month, the couple confirmed their engagement.
