Fire Country might be a smashing success for the upcoming TV season thanks to the amazing talent working behind the scenes. Showrunner Tia Napolitano, whose credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, and Scandal, joins Hollywood icon and 10-time Emmy winner Jerry Bruckheimer (The Amazing Race, CSI: Vegas) on the project. Incorporating Napolitano into the mix, fans of Shonda Rhimes’s work can only pray that some of that enchantment makes its way to the upcoming CBS show. The Plot of Fire Country
According to CBS, the plot of Fire Country centres on Max Thieriot’s portrayal of Bode Donovan, a young convict who joins a prison release firefighting programme in Northern California in the hopes of finding redemption and having his prison sentence reduced. In this program, inmates are paired with elite firefighters in an effort to put out massive, unpredictable wildfires. Bode’s rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son before his problems began, is where he will be working on this initiative, which is both a high-risk and high-reward assignment.
Bode destroyed his life and left town with a huge secret five years ago. Now he’s back, sporting a criminal record but yet having the nerve to think he can make amends with Cal Fire.
