Halsey is an American singer-songwriter. Starting at the age of 17 and signing with Astralwerks in 2014, she began writing songs. Later that year, Halsey released her first EP, “Room 93,” which peaked at number three on the “Billboard” Heatseekers chart.
The album “Badlands” was released in 2015 and topped the charts in the United States and Australia, as well as Belgium, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. In 2016, Halsey was the featured vocalist on “Closer,” a song by The Chainsmokers that went to number one in more than a dozen countries.
A second solo album, “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,” was released by her in 2017 and debuted at the top of the US album charts, and was certified gold and platinum. BTS’ “Boy with Luv,” which she sang on, received nearly 75 million views on its first day of release in 2019.
Halsey Early Life
The 29th of September, 1994, was the day Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, the mother of Halsey, was born in Edison, New Jersey. Both her mother and father work in the automotive industry: Nicole is a paramedic and Chris serves as the manager of an auto dealership. Frangipane grew up in several cities with her two younger brothers, Dante and Sevian, and she played cello, violin, and viola before switching to acoustic guitar at age 14.
She was bullied in high school and attempted suicide at the age of 17, during which time she spent more than two weeks in the hospital. A 24-year-old man who lived on Halsey Street in Brooklyn, Frangipane became involved after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and becoming addicted to drugs. In 2012, she graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School, where she had been writing songs since she was 12.
As a student at Rhode Island School of Design, Frangipane was enrolled, but she dropped out because she couldn’t afford to attend. “Degenerate stoners” in a basement in lower Manhattan became her new home after she was kicked out of the house by her parents and ended up living there for a time.

Halsey Career
“I Knew You Were Trouble” was the first video Frangipane posted on YouTube and other websites, and it quickly became a viral sensation. Following the release of her song “Ghost” on SoundCloud in 2014, Halsey began receiving attention from record labels after meeting a “music guy” at a party. It took her a few acoustic performances under various stage names before she finally settled on “Halsey” for her Astralwerks debut.
Ahead of the August 28, 2015 release of her debut album, “Badlands,” Halsey released the platinum singles “Ghost,” “Castle,” “Colors,” and “New Americana.” This song’s lyric video has been viewed more than two billion times on YouTube. Halsey also contributed vocals to Justin Bieber’s 2015 single “The Feeling,” as well as The Chainsmokers’ 2016 single “Closer,” which she co-wrote.

Halsey Engaged
Pregnant Halsey was seen out and about in Los Angeles on Monday wearing a ring she got from boyfriend Alev Aydin, who held her close to his chest. When Halsey and Aydin, both 26, walked into a parking garage, Halsey was dressed in a baby blue cardigan with her black leggings tucked under her growing baby bump. Halsey (real name Ashley Frangipane) and Aydin’s recent social media speculation about their relationship status prompted the outing.
It was also noticed by fans that Aydin had what appeared to be a band on the tip of his middle finger. On Monday, he wore the same gold ring. As of January of this year, Halsey revealed that she is expecting her first child. This week, the “Without Me” singer posted an ultrasound on Instagram. As seen in an Instagram post from Aydin on Monday, he was seated outside next to a lavish table set-up. Another inquired, “Was that your wedding?! “, while another exclaimed, “OMG are you two getting married?” When Halsey announced her pregnancy in March, she said it was “100 percent planned.”

Alev Aydin is the father of her baby. This [baby] was the result of a lot of work,” she said at the time on her Instagram Story. I’d be just as happy if it were the other way around, though. Since then, Halsey likened her bump to the size of a regular basketball. It’s getting more difficult to spot the difference, she joked on Instagram in April. Before her relationship with Aydin, Halsey was linked to Yungblud in the spring of 2019. “American Horror Story” star Evan Peters became her boyfriend later in the year.

To describe herself as “tri-bi,” Halsey refers to herself as having three identities: biracial/bisexual/bi-polar. The song “Him & I” and her relationship with G-Eazy inspired her 2018 single “Without Me” American Horror Story’s Evan Peters and alternative rocker Yungblud have also been linked to Halsey.
It is possible that a miscarriage she had the previous year may have caused her to develop endometriosis in 2016. When Halsey’s miscarriage occurred while she was on tour, she decided not to cancel the concert because she didn’t want to jeopardize her career. To alleviate her endometriosis-related pain, she underwent surgery in 2017.
