The fourth of July, 1998 saw the arrival of Malia Ann Obama to the world. She was born to President Obama and his now-wife, Michelle Robinson, Esq.
She was brought up in the middle-class Chicago suburb of Hyde Park. Her mother was an attorney and an associate dean at the University of Chicago Law School, while her father was a law professor and a state senator in Illinois.
Life as she knew it was upended the day her father became President of the United States when she was only 10 years old. Obama and Michelle did their best to provide their daughter with a “normal” upbringing. Even Michelle’s mom, Marian Robinson, drove Malia and her sister to school, but that only went so far, according to CNN, because the First Daughters’ Secret Service detail was teaching them to drive.

Work-Life and Profession
Her precise work history is now being kept under wraps. However, Michelle Obama has long stated that her daughter is interested in movies and hopes to work in the industry either behind the camera or in the director’s chair. And so, moving on, in 2015 Malia Obama interned as a Production Assistant for the set of the HBO sitcom Girls. In a similar vein, she screened the film “Beach Rats” at the Sundance Film Festival. At the American Embassy in Madrid, Spain, she completed an internship. When the 2017 protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline Project began, she became involved in political activity.
In February of 2021, she joined Donald Grover in his writer’s office, where she reportedly developed a series called Hive centered on Beyonce (the music singer). Later in life, Malia takes after her fashion-forward mother and develops an interest in clothes and accessories. She joined in with the nationwide protest in a similar fashion. Lexi, an actress, was later named the star who would play the First Lady in the anthology series.

Is Malia Obama Engaged
Malia Obama‘s status as a former First Daughter has sparked curiosity about her personal life and career endeavors since the Obamas left the White House.
Malia Obama, the eldest daughter of former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, was most recently linked to her Harvard University classmate Rory Farquharson, whom she began seeing in 2017 and split from in recent years. It appears that Malia has moved on to a new love interest. Page Six has photos of Malia, 24, on what appears to be a date with music producer Dawit Eklund, 33.
Malia wore a white crop top and loose-fitting green slacks for the portrait taken at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on August 4, 2022, while Dawit sported a beige T-shirt and green shorts with a photo of Bob Marley on the left leg. Dawit’s hand was on Malia’s waist as she kissed the back of his neck in one photo, and the two were also captured in an affectionate embrace.
Dawit is the co-founder of the Washington, D.C.-based record label 1432 R, where Malia was based while her father served as President of the United States (from January 2009 to January 2017). In addition, the Daily Mail says that Dawit’s dad is former State Department employee Jon Eklund, who served at several different American embassies in Africa. Yeshi Eklund, his mom, is Ethiopian. The Daily Mail claims that this latest sighting is Malia and Dawit’s third public date, following their lunch date on July 26, 2022, and their stroll through Los Angeles on August 2, 2022.
Sasha, the other daughter of Barack and Michelle, is currently dating Clifton Power Jr., the son of actor Clifton Powell. In April 2022, during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Michelle publicly acknowledged the relationship. They were big fans of the Jonas Brothers. “Now they are bringing homegrown men,” she stated of her daughters. There were only pop bands back then. This is the real world, complete with boyfriends.
In 2020, Barack discussed his experiences in quarantine with Malia and her most recent boyfriend, Rory Farquharson, in an interview on “The Bill Simmons Podcast.” In other words, “He’s from the UK. What a wonderful young man, but he was kind of stuck because of the entire visa process and he already had a job lined up,” he explained. As a result, we brought him in, and despite my reservations, I’ve come to like him. All you find out is that guys their age eat. Finding it strange to observe them eat.
