retaining her separation. Following their imprisonment, Lindsie Chrisley said that she, and her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley will be spending the holiday season apart.
On November 21, Todd, 53, and Julie, 49, who had been found guilty in June of bank fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion, received sentences of 12 years and 7 years in prison, respectively. Peter Tarantino, the duo’s former assistant, was also given a 36-month prison term for his involvement in the fraud.
The ex-Teresa Terry’s child, Lindsie, said on her podcast on Wednesday that the couple needed time to comprehend everything that had happened. Even though the reality star admitted she struggled with forgoing holiday time with her loved ones, she wanted to be able to give it to them.
(Todd and Julie are the parents of Chase, 26, Savannah, 25, and Grayson, 16; Todd also has a son named Kyle, 31, with his ex.) Her decision was also influenced by her 10-year-old son, who she shares with her ex-husband William Campbell.
She claimed that from the moment Jackson wakes up until the moment he goes to bed, it feels as though a whirlwind is sweeping through the house. I felt that the combination of that kind of energy and the subsequent bad news just wasn’t a healthy one, so I had to make a difficult parenting choice that I abhor.
Before Todd and his wife’s trial, the podcast host and her father were estranged, but they were reunited earlier this year. Later, Lindsie, who gave testimony on her father’s behalf, said that their reconciliation wasn’t prompted by the trial.

Later, the South Carolina native revealed that following her breakup with Campbell, 33, last year, she and her father reconnected. My dad had commented, “I’m here, I love you, whatever’s going on in your life right now, I see it,” after my divorce-related information had been public, she recounted. That’s basically how we were able to get back in touch. So, to quickly answer your question, yes, it was because of my divorce.
After taking some time to contemplate everything related to her parent’s trial, Lindsie released an official statement following their sentencing last month.
I and my family have had a very difficult few months, and I am devastated by the recent developments in my parents’ situation, she said in a statement to Hollywood Life on December 6. Although certain media outlets have attempted to misrepresent my answer to this, there is really no use in continuing.
I’m going through this process while grieving the best I can. These are genuine, unadulterated feelings coming from a real family. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, love, and prayers. It is extremely important to my family and me.
