Although it may seem absurd to consider aShrinkingseason 3 so soon after season 1 ends, it is actually taking place right now!

We’ve learned a few things from executive producer Bill Lawrence, one of which is that he likes to work in three-season batches. He and Jason Sudeikis arranged for Ted Lasso to do this. His other Apple TV+ programs look to be running pretty similarly in the meanwhile. Although the show has technically only been renewed until season 2 as of yet, there is a three-year plan in place.

So why do you decide to present a narrative in this manner? Lawrence, who originally proposed three seasons for the program, said in an interview with Variety that this enabled him to bring on some outstanding talent:

The real significance of this phrase, in our opinion, is connected to Ford, who is most certainly a contender for an Emmy for his performance as Paul. With the upcoming season of 1923 and the promotion of the most recent Indiana Jones film, he is quite busy.

While it is always disappointing to learn that a show you love has a finite run, we prefer to view it this way because we are personally very happy to hear that there is a plan. Nobody is inventing anything as the narrative progresses, and we can only hope that the narrative keeps developing in some significant, intriguing areas.
