Plot
Due to his mother’s drug addiction, 17-year-old Michael “Big Mike” Oher has lived with several different foster families in Tennessee, but every time he is moved into a new home, he returns to his previous one. Burt Cotton, the football coach at Wingate Christian School, is asked by Mike’s buddy Tony “Big Tony” Hamilton, whose sofa Mike has been sleeping on, to assist with enrolling his son and Mike.

Cotton manages to get Mike in despite his subpar academic record due to his stature and agility. Later, Sean Tuohy, Jr./”SJ,” a younger student, makes friends with Michael. Leigh Anne, SJ’s mother, is a determined interior designer and the spouse of successful businessman Sean Sr.
